We are thrilled to be part of 3 Days of Design this year, where we will be curating a couple of exhibitions and events.
Openhouse x Expormim exhibition, in collaboration with Nanimarquina and the participation of Marset, aims to enrich the design experience by redefining furniture as a piece of art within the setting of the Ruby Atelier Gallery. Curated by Openhouse Studio, ‘The Intimate Side of Art’ will reflect on the noteworthiness of having a space to develop our identity as creators, what Virginia Woolf called ‘A Room of One’s Own’.
Ruby Atelier Gallery will be metamorphosed into a theatrical backdrop as an artist’s studio and home with pieces by Expormim, Nanimarquina and Marset. Visitors will immerse themselves in a creative environment, witnessing a blend of artistic expressions and curated chaos. The interior decor will create various scenes, fostering intimate conversations, moments of reflection, and joyous laughter.
The gallery will be transformed into an inspiring haven under the creative direction of the stylist Henriette Schou. Set against an elevated backdrop, Expormim will dress it with their latest designs by creators such as David López Quincoces, Norm Architects, and more. Nanimarquina will unveil its 2024 collections, featuring standout pieces like the captivating Colorado collection by Inga Sempé, new additions to the Chillida collection, and the artistic Wabi Sabi and Pearls collections by Nani Marquina and Sabine Finkenauer respectively. Marset’s exquisite lamp collection will tie the exhibition together, casting a warm glow reminiscent of an artist’s studio and home.
It will also be a lived-in space where Openhouse will host tree panel talks: Joanna Laajisto, designer of the Ihana lamp by Marset will talk about “Creating silhouettes of light”. Norm Architects, who created the Cask collection of Expormim will reflect about “Furniture as shelter”. The designer of Nanimarquina Colorado Rug, Inga Sempé, will contemplate “Colors, textures and shapes designed to enhance people’s well-being”. Whereas the talk between Openhouse, Henriette Schou and David López Quincoces will rely on the “Creative Direction with an editorial narrative purpose”.
After each talk, join us for a delightful gathering with wine and Spanish ‘aperitivo’ to continue the conversation.
Additionally, join us for a celebration of creativity and style as Openhouse Magazine unveils its 21st issue, ‘In Praise of Folly.’ In collaboration with Saba, we invite you to an exclusive exhibition showcasing our most acclaimed photographs from our decade-long journey. Experience the iconic location of Soho House Copenhagen overlooking the river, as Saba reveals their latest collection by Zanellato/Bortotto, inspired by the nautical world.
