The Grège Gallery is set to open its doors in the heart of Brussels with a unique concept that sets it apart from other galleries.
Interior designer and modern-day adventuress in perpetual quest for the beautiful and the unexpected, Marie de Brouwer runs the gallery driven by a raw and authentic spirit that craves textures, imperfections and character. Her first permanent space located in the center of Brussels, near Sainte Catherine and the Royal Flemish Theatre is a space to discover a curated selection of emerging artists and exceptional furniture.
After a year of arranging unique exhibitions in unexpected places, Marie de Brouwer is excited to unveil a new space with outstanding artworks and pieces. It is precisely the experience of hosting successful exhibitions in unusual locations, —including the brutalist house of architect Robert Janvier and private greenhouses at the castle of La Hulpe, that has led Marie to the creation of an in-situ space that blends emerging artists with the aim of welcoming visitors in between the ephemeral exhibitions.
The Grège Gallery looks for artists with a raw and authentic spirit such as Chidy Wayne, Ileana Moro, Giorgio Petracci, Laura Pasquino, Jacques di Piazza, Julia Renaudot and Léa Fabre Fiorio and invites the audience to discover their work in space that promotes a dialog between architecture, art and furniture.
The official opening will take place on February 4 from 11 am to 6 pm.
