Rooted in Made in Italy values and guided by a sustainability-first philosophy, which prioritizes reclaimed materials, short supply chains, and collaborations with master artisans, the brand reimagines timeless techniques with a modern vision — slow, intentional luxury. A philosophy grounded in care, each piece invites a deeper connection.
With the launch of their latest Winter Edition drop, we sat down with Fabiola and Andrea to explore their evolving journey. The new collection captures the intimacy of the colder months, combining warmth, texture, and heritage with finishes inspired by frosty landscapes and soft, wintry tones. It reflects REdDUO’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, slow design and their passion for blending art, fashion, and daily rituals.
The Winter drop expands REdDUO’s pottery lines, ‘Third Eye’ and ‘Mono Eye’, alongside textile collections, ‘Loads of Lines’ and ‘Sleep on It’. Each item tells a story of patience, mindful craftsmanship and individuality. Handcrafted by artisans, no two pieces are alike. The ceramics, palo santo holders, carafes, and vases, now come in rich fir tree green, soft frosty gray-blue, and delicate pale poudre. The art blankets and unisex homewear in “Loads of Lines” and “Sleep on It”, are created with salvaged materials, transforming scraps into soft, luxurious textures. The padded blankets gleam with a silky, shiny texture evoking the intimacy of a winter evening. The pajamas, in muted green tones and pale poudre, offer a refined touch to this season’s collection.
What does the name REdDUO mean?
Andrea’s last name is “Rosso” (which means red in italian), and I had a magazine—now evolved into a creative agency—called RedMilk. Since “red” was a common thread between us, we decided to carry it forward in our name.
Where was the idea for the brand born?
From the moment we met, Fabiola and I began sharing countless photos over WhatsApp—creativity, materials, colors, quotes, graphics, and things that we see around us. One day, we decided to post these photos on Instagram just for fun. Over time, from meeting and living together to building our first home and having a beautiful child named Rei, our journey naturally evolved into a business.
Why did you decide to create this venture?
Whenever friends and family visited our home in Milan, they always asked the same questions: “Where did you buy this vase?” “Where can I find this palo santo holder?” “Who made your handles?”. This inspired us to channel our home rituals and creativity into a larger project—REdDUO. After our experience in Miami, restoring the entire 4th floor, bar, restaurant, and rooms of the Pelican Hotel, we decided to combine our passion for interior design with our fashion background and fully dive into this field.
How is it being “life and business partners”?
It’s both challenging and beautiful. We have different tastes and ideas, which can lead to lively discussions, but when we’re on the same page, that’s when our best ideas come to life. The key to making it work is having clearly defined roles, which helps us complement each other professionally.
Where does your creative inspiration come from?
From our backgrounds, without a doubt. Andrea loves the mountains and the outdoors, with a passion for military garments, 70s style, and ensuring that everything he works on is sustainable. I grew up by the sea, which influences my preference for a Mediterranean aesthetic paired with stronger materials. We both share a deep love for Japan and draw inspiration from everything we encounter while traveling or from cherished memories.
Your aesthetic is very distinctive – how would you describe it?
REdDUO is intimate and bold at the same time: a blend of calmness and clean Japanese style with a ‘70s touch.
Tell us about some of the artisans you collaborate with; who and where are they?
Artisans are incredible because they bring an artistic, hands-on approach to problem-solving, free from the constraints of industrial, corporate methods. The sartorial experts and artisans we work with have a unique ability to imbue our products with essential, one-of-a-kind beauty. Most of them are based in the Veneto region, an area where many businesses were founded by farmers who later evolved into artisans or even large companies. Their craftsmanship and heritage are at the heart of what we create.
What is home to you?
Home is a sacred place for us — a container where we create our world and welcome our community. Where the best ideas are born and where we grow together every day with our family.
What creates a sense of intimacy in objects?
Rituality
Tell us more about your latest drop.
With this drop, we stepped out of our comfort zone and experimented with different fabrics—more precious and elegant—while still maintaining an edge that we believe can create an intriguing contrast in many homes. This collection is definitely more fashion-forward compared to our previous drops.
What are the hopes and plans for the future?
We hope to collaborate with brands we admire and continue expanding our collection. One day, we dream of establishing a residency where we can welcome artists and designers to experiment and create alongside us. We’re passionate about breaking down the traditional barriers between designers and envision working on collaborative projects with multiple architects.
