Casa REdDUO at Porta Venezia
A domestic playground of timeless design
From the moment Fabiola Di Virgilio and Andrea Rosso met, they began to share countless photos of materials, colors, shapes, forms, natural elements, patterns, places… Anything that caught their attention. Year after year, this organic exchange built what they now conceive as a shared “material library”. “Over time, from sharing moments and living together to building our first home and having our beautiful son, Rei, our path naturally evolved into a business”, describes Andrea.

The result is REdDUO, a multifunctional project launched in 2021, encompassing everything from home goods to custom interior designs, all united by one core principle: the fusion of artisanal tradition and contemporary design. Born as a natural extension of the couple’s conversations and intuition, REdDUO is guided by a philosophy that reinterprets timeless techniques with a modern vision: slow, intentional luxury.

“After four years of what we often call ‘shared homework’, we’re now ready to move beyond objects into complete living environments—offering interior design concepts and spatial layouts for both residential and hospitality projects”, mentions Andrea. And that is, precisely, what they have done: they have launched “Casa REdDUO” in the Porta Venezia neighborhood, in Milan.

“REdDUO House” is established as a project that merges design, craftsmanship and creativity in a studio home, located in an imposing 1930s building and designed to function both as a private residence and as a space for collaboration and coexistence. “We walked into this apartment and immediately felt it was the one”, says Andrea. From the C-shaped layout to the 60s and 70s existing elements, they knew they had found their perfect canvas.

“We saw it as a playground to test materials, explore function, and combine both home and studio in one space—divided only by a bar”, adds Andrea. A domestic space that presents itself as an ode to the contemporary reinterpretation of tradition. “For some time now, we have wanted to expand our work to a larger scale, embracing new aspects of the domestic environment – what better way to do that than starting with our own home?”, they explain.

“This process gave us valuable insight that can now translate into residential or contract projects”, they point out. Through the journey of crafting their own home and studio, the couple have articulated their vision: “Our approach is always sensitive to both aesthetics and function, grounded in craftsmanship, and shaped by our background in fashion—where experimentation and evolution are essential”.

In fact, it is this approach that makes REdDUO uniquely differentiated. “Lately, we’ve been hearing people say, ‘This is so REdDUO”, especially after visiting our Casa Studio in Milan”, remarks Andrea, “We believe that’s because our language is becoming clearer”. Andrea and Fabiola blend their individual sensibilities into a unified vision where soft and hard materials are explored in a contemporary way. “Our design philosophy embraces contrast: past and present, rough and refined, calm and bold”. A fearless combination that translates into an intuitive and distinctive identity.

Since REdDUO is known for its unmistakable character, their home-studio couldn’t be the exception. “The dual function as both a studio and a home is at the heart of what makes Casa REDDUO unique”, they comment, “The space offers a clear studio function, while also being a living project—constantly evolving and influencing our creative process”.
The studio and the home are “separated yet connected,” with only a slim bar between them. “This soft transition brings a sense of warmth and playfulness to the way we design and live”, Andrea expresses. “It reflects our belief that a space should adapt to multiple layers of life—professional, personal, creative, and that balance is exactly what REDDUO is about”.
The entire project is developed together with a series of carefully selected collaborators who share the vision. Kerakoll, the brand that offers products, solutions and systems designed to cover the needs in the fields of construction and interior design, is part of the RedDUO family. The company, which is focused on research and innovation, stands out for its appreciation for the unconventional approach to the use of materials.

“With RedDUO we have found a great complicity, which has allowed us to test uses and combinations that have enhanced the personality of the rooms and their owners”, explains Alessandro Dondi, Brand Marketing and Communication Director of Kerakoll Group. “We like to feel part of a collective of professionals with whom we can share and develop an innovative vision of interior design”, he adds.

Kerakoll integrated the chromatic and material balance in Casa REdDUO, an expression of the combination of design and colour: one of their signature stylistic features. “We didn’t just limit ourselves to supplying paints, resins and adhesives: we joined the designers on a daring creative path, also experimenting with an alternative use of materials”, mentions Alessandro.

Through its collaborators, and thanks to the unrepeatable spirit of Andrea and Fabiola, Casa REdDUO represents the convergence of creativity and design in all its expressions: from the timeless essence of the home to the collective creativity of a studio, Casa REdDUO constitutes a living canvas for material exploration, creative dialogue, and the couple’s evolving design philosophy.
