During the latest edition of 3daysofdesign, Openhouse and Saba praised nature at Soho House Copenhagen. Overlooking the river, right on its banks, we marked our 10th anniversary seated on the Vela Piping sofa, Saba’s latest collection by Zanellato/Bortotto, while admiring the most acclaimed photographs published in the magazine throughout its 21-issue journey.
Housed in a classical modernist building designed by Kristoffer Nyrop Varming in 1937, this unique venue, formerly a customs house, is the first Soho House in Scandinavia with a waterfront terrace. The perfect fitting for the Vela and Vela Piping sofas which, with their sail-inspired shapes and nautical details, graced the space alongside the Cime carpet. The symbols and colors of this collection represent the fishermen families of the Venetian lagoon. Thus, carpets and sofas transformed Soho House into a haven for nature enthusiasts attending 3daysofdesign.
These visitors, underneath the grass, beneath the roses and the grit, find their very first root, the inner beat of nature that we all carry within ourselves, our primal bond to nature—the enduring essence and freedom that inspire creativity.
We were delighted to share time with many of you in the bar and dance floor at the Soho House during the closing night of 3daysofdesign. We were overwhelmed and deeply appreciative of the warm reception we received from our readership.
